Math Applied Skills: Measurement and Data-Time with Tables and Graphs

Available now in my TeachersPayTeachers store!

This set of applied math skills materials for grades 3 and 4 features graphs and data tables related to measurement of time with leveled sets of questions for differentiation. Materials are aligned to Common Core math standards for third grade and fourth grade related to measurement of time and data.

The questions require students to use the four operations to solve problems (3.OA.A.3, 3.OA.D.8, 4.MD.A.2), convert units of time between hours and minutes (4.MD.A.1), tell time and calculate elapsed time (3.MD.A.1), draw and interpret picture graphs and bar graphs (3.MD.B.3, RI.4.7) and use information presented in data tables.

Each graph or table comes with three leveled sets of questions for differentiation, plus a non-leveled page.

These are the types of problems you often see in applied skills sections of standardized tests, for which there are few prep materials. Please check back for math applied skills materials dealing with other standards in the future.

Full answer key included.
